It's been a while since we introduced ourselves and provided some insight as to how TR Aluminum Designs was born. Keep reading as we dive into the team, why and how we got started, and what the next steps may be...
The TR "Scene"
TR Aluminum Designs was founded in 2015 in Lumsden, SK by 3 brothers. Tyren is the sales manager, Tyce is a welder fabricator technician, and Rylan is a welder. "We all grew up spending summers at the cabin- boating, fishing, and trying as many new water sports as possible. We never turned down ice fishing with friends in the winter".
"We know the importance of having a quality dock and boat lift, especially with the rigors of lake life. We started this company with a passion for welding and our main priority is to provide the best quality products. We also want to make sure that our products are easy to use and low maintenance so that you can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying!"
TR is the result of a combination of passions. Tyce and Rylan enjoyed welding, and Tyren has always been a natural communicator- all 3 lived for the fun in life. "We started out building portable aluminum signs and quickly got into dock building as well. We soon recognized, and were extremely grateful, that people genuinely wanted to buy local product if it was available". In a couple of short years, the product portfolio grew to include aluminum docks, dock accessories, boat lifts, seadoo lifts, lift accessories, boat track, ice shacks, trailer restoration, mobile signs, and custom projects.
Starting out in their garage, TR moved into a shop in Lumsden, SK, and plans to build their long-term shop in the next few years. "We are so thankful for the support we have received. Starting with our fellow Saskatchewan friends, we now provide products across Canada. We also wouldn't be where we are today without the support of our partners in the industry".
The small but mighty team has evolved to now include 4 full-time employees and 1 part-time employee. "As for future plans... we like to take it season by season. If there's one thing we can guarantee it's that we are always looking for new and improved ways to make your life easier".
